Hip & Heart Opening Yoga With Elizabeth & Breezy

This is so exciting!

If you’ve never tried yoga before, you’re in for a treat. If you are already a yoga devotee, you’re in for a treat too.

I’ve sung yoga’s praises for quite some time now, and today I’m teaming up with one of my favorite yoga instructors and my personal teacher, Barefoot Studio owner Breezy Osborne to guide you through three very simple and effective yoga poses to open our hips and our hearts.

Breezy also shows us how to advance or modify the poses depending on our own yoga abilities and levels. Whatever you do, honor where you are and don’t be disappointed if you can’t move into the more advanced forms of the poses. We are all on our own yoga journeys — some of us more beginner, some of us more advanced and it’s so important that we each honor where we are and what feels right in our bodies.

Do this sequence regularly at home or wherever you’d like. As Breezy mentions in the video, we tend to hold a lot of tension in our hips, which can affect our lower back, our torso, and other areas of our body. For me, often I don’t even realize just how much tension I’m holding in my hips until I move into one of the poses like Breezy shows us here. Once I start to feel myself open and the tension begin to release, I always wonder why I waited so long to do a few opening poses.
