There are never enough hours in the day.

Stop for a moment and think about that statement.

Really think about it.

Think about that to do list that just keeps getting longer. Think about that calendar that stays booked The family schedule. The dinner that needs to be cooked. The house that needs to be cleaned. The bills that need to be paid.

Now… answer a simple question for me:

In all of those many things to be done in the day, where are YOU?

Where do you pencil in the moments to focus on yourself? To pay attention to your needs and your health?

Not such a simple question, is it?

Trust me, I get it.

As a wife and mother, I had to ask myself the very same question. I had to take a step back and figure out where to find the time to make room for MY health and MY well-being without taking away from the most important part of my day: my family. And, like I’m sure you just did, I found myself back at that very frustrating answer:

There are never enough hours in the day.

And you know what I told myself? That that was fine. I was taking care of the things that mattered the most. I was a great wife. I was a great mom. But one question continued to play in the back of my mind like a pop song that refuses to leave:

Was I a great ME?

Where was that confident, healthy, beautiful, radiant woman that I once was? Did she get lost somewhere between the diaper changes and kindergarten dance recitals? Was she ever coming back?

And, most importantly, would I ever fit into her jeans again?

YES, YES, and YES.

I realized that she was just buried somewhere under all of those every day responsibilities, and all I needed to do was dig her out. I had to learn how to effectively take care of me in order to find that elusive radiance that had been missing so long from my life.

I started living instead of just going through the motions.

And, you know what? I was amazing at it. And I have every confidence that you will be too.

A Little About Me

I am the mother of two precocious little girls and am married to my college sweetheart, Brandon. After working in the fast-paced corporate world, I made the decision to become a stay at home mom once my eldest daughter was born. Shortly thereafter, I discovered a new found interest in fitness and nutrition– not only for myself but for women with similar paths in life who found that no matter how much they exercised, they were unsuccessful in losing weight. This interest quickly became a passion to help women create a life full of health, purpose and abundance. I took my new found passion to the next step and began training as a health coach under the world’s leading experts in nutrition and wellness at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Now, as a Certified Health Coach, I offer online nutrition programs and coaching, nutritional and lifestyle workshops, speaking engagements, and proudly serve as a mentor to other women who are interested in pursuing a career path in nutrition and wellness coaching.
